On the morning of October 25th, as the first large-scale mass sports event of this year in Caofeidian District, the 2020 Caofeidian Wetland Half Marathon "Running Caofeidian, Civilized Wetland Tour" fired its gun and started running in the Caofeidian Wetland. Nearly 1000 runners from the Tangshan area gathered by the Caofei Lake to enjoy the charming autumn scenery of the coastal wetlands and enjoy the passion and fun of running.
Caofeidian is located on the southern coast of Tangshan, backed by the Three Norths and adjacent to Beijing and Tianjin. It is an important cooperation platform for the coordinated development strategy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, a new growth pole created by Hebei Province, and a core carrying area for the construction of Tangshan's "One Port, Two Cities". Caofeidian has a beautiful and unique ecological environment, with a total area of 540 square kilometers of coastal wetlands. It is praised by the International Wetland Organization as "unique in the north and rare in the country.". Our current location is a national 4A level tourist attraction - Wetland Culture Tourism Resort, which is a natural oxygen bar with superior environment and the best venue for marathon races.
This year marks the fourth year of the Caofeidian Wetland Half Marathon and an extremely extraordinary year in the development history of Caofeidian. We have focused on economic and social development, taken scientific and effective measures, and worked hard to achieve dual victories in epidemic prevention and control and economic development. The COVID-19 has made the general public more aware of the importance of health and have joined the ranks of sports and fitness. Holding this wetland half marathon is not only a concrete practice to implement national fitness, but also a powerful measure to meet the growing demand for physical fitness among the general public. It is of great significance to promote more people to enhance their awareness of national fitness, cultivate sports and fitness habits, and achieve normalized epidemic prevention and control.
This wetland half marathon continues to adhere to high standards and strict requirements, and is divided into three projects: half marathon, public health run, and parent-child run. Starting from the Bohai International Convention Center, the 21.09 kilometer track will present the magnificent scenery of Caofeidian Wetland Cultural Tourism Resort, with thousands of acres of reeds, thousands of blue waves, flying gulls and egrets, and vast and magnificent scenery, to every runner from all over the country.
On the morning of the 25th, after a brief and grand opening ceremony, the 2020 Caofeidian Wetland Half Marathon officially began. With the sound of the starting gun, the contestants moved their feet and had intimate contact with the beautiful track. The flashing lights lit up, and the cheers, cheers, and cheers intertwined, unleashing Cao Feidian's youth and vitality to the fullest.
After more than an hour of brave struggle, Tangshan runners Shi Licheng and Wang Xiaobo won the men's and women's half horse championships with a time of 1 hour 13 minutes and 1 hour 24 minutes respectively, each receiving a prize of 5000 yuan.
I didn't expect the Caofeidian Half Horse Organizing Committee to be so meticulous and professional! The Caofeidian Wetland Half Marathon is a sports event with local characteristics and influence in Caofeidian District and even Tangshan City in recent years.
